Allah Is Exactly as His Servant Thinks He Is
يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِي، فَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي، وَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلَإٍ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلَإٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْهُمْ
Transliteration
Yaqūlullāhu ta'ālā: Anā 'inda dhanni 'abdī bī, wa anā ma'ahu idhā dhakaran. Fa-in dhakaran fī nafsihī dhakartuhū fī nafsī, wa in dhakaran fī mala'in dhakartuhū fī mala'in khayrin minhum
Translation
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah the Almighty says: 'I am as My servant thinks of Me. I am with him when he remembers Me. If he mentions Me within himself, I mention him within Myself. If he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly far better than his.'"
