Say Inna Lillah and Allah Will Give You Something Better

Sahih
Sahih Muslim · 918·Narrated by Umm Salamah (RA)

Transliteration

Mā min 'abdin tusībuhu musībatun fayaqūl: Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rāji'ūn, Allāhummajurnī fī musībatī wa akhlif lī khayran minhā, illā akhlafallāhu lahu khayran minhā

Translation

Umm Salamah reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, "There is no Muslim stricken with a calamity who says what Allah has commanded — 'Verily to Allah we belong and to Him we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and replace it for me with something better' — except that Allah will replace it for him with something better."

Practice This Today

In any hardship today, say this dua with full conviction and wait — Allah's replacement is always better.
