Envy Devours Good Deeds Like Fire Devours Wood

إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحَسَدَ فَإِنَّ الْحَسَدَ يَأْكُلُ الْحَسَنَاتِ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ الْحَطَبَ
Transliteration
Iyyākum wal-hasad, fa-innal-hasada ya'kulul-hasanāti kamā ta'kulun-nārul-hatab
Translation
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Beware of envy, for envy devours good deeds just as fire devours wood."
